I would stand in line from here to heaven’s gate for a piece of my Mom’s homemade chocolate cake with white icing and coconut clinging to its side. Mom fixed it every Sunday for dinner following church. Our family numbered 8. We all got a big piece. Bring it on Mama!

Here, here! Voting is worth it, for sure. The longest line I ever stood in was at the Dallas Convention Center to hear Obama speak when he was running the first time. I took my kids out of school and we went and waited as a line stretched for what looked like miles. Met some great people. The anticipation and excitement–it was worth every minute. Enjoyed reading this today and thinking back on that time. Lifted my spirits.

Hi Carol,
Before reading your comment, I was going to respond that “nothing is worth waiting in line for, ” You’re right. Voting is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of democracy that allows citizens to participate in the political process and have a say in their government. However, it is unfortunate that only some people worldwide have equal access to this privilege. I always look forward to your engagement!

What a happy issue! Beautiful artwork, fun answers by the 1st graders, delicious recipe. . . The only thing I can think of worth standing in line for is voting. Thanks for the fun!
