The chocolate pie reminded me that my mom used to make a chocolate meringue that I thought was to die for. I’m pretty sure the pudding was made from a box but that didn’t matter. Having seen your recipe I’m ready to elevate the chocolate pie experience to a richer, creamier version.

Loved the nursing home experience. You are so right about residents loving visitors, especially children. I used to visit my mom frequently when she was in a retirement center and was always tickled when I saw the residents’ reactions when someone brought in an infant – instant magnet! They came from every corner to see the baby! Lots of smiles and good wishes. Sunshine in their day.
