Hi Carol – I agree, a whole lotta ghost towns out there. goosebump stuff!

I, too, envisioned the spooky sounds were born in an elaborate sound studio.

Perhaps some are – as in low budget –
(( having been around a movie set a time or two and visiting with the sound guy over a cup of coffee in the Craft Service trailer.))

However, total fan and hat tip to the creativity that went into the Apprehension Machine and the 2 super talented (aka top of their game) men who collaborated on this amazing cool device.

Love it that we’re “in the know” regarding the machine behind the sounds.

Awesome hearing your personal feedback on brussels sprouts and carrots recipe! I’m in – totally making it for me this upcoming weekend.

As I was stepping backwards down the steps, I lost my balance and began falling backwards with the TV in my arms. And then it happened. A very firm hand pushed gently against my back and straightened me out so that I could back down the steps safely. It was an absolute miracle. If I had fallen likely a variety of bones would have been broken. If I didn’t believe in God until that day, it left no question in my mind the invisible God was in my presence in a very visible way.

And the Apprehension Machine. Somehow I envisioned all those spooky movie sounds originating in an elaborate sound room, wildly choreographed. Not to underestimate the Apprehension Machine, but it seems amazingly “simple” to be so amazingly effective. I’ll be feeling smugly “in the know” next time I watch/listen to spooky sounds.

Homemade potato soup…that recipe is calling me loudly. As is the Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. Yum!!!

I should mention that I tried the roasted brussels sprouts and carrots recipe from Friday’s issue. It comes together quickly and is super delicious as-is, with no tweaking. Thank you!
