"NEVER IGNORE YOUR ROOTS, YOUR HOME OR YOUR HAIR." Dolly Parton - Who doesn't get a kick out of Dolly Parton? Country singer, song-writer, actress and philanthropist. When she's no longer on planet earth we will miss her joyful spirit and kindness to many. I see Dolly is 78 years old, born 1946. She remains married to the same husband since age 20. Her most popular song was 9 to 5. Oh shoot, now I'll be singing a few lines of that the rest of the day.

I was practically raised on Velveeta Cheese but somewhere along the way was persuaded that it was filled with chemicals that were TERRIBLE for you and gave it up. Haven't tasted it in years. However, now knowing that isn't true I'm putting Rotel Cheese Dip back on the menu. And who knows what other Velveeta delicacies might get a second chance. Yay!

Loved the thrift store tips and the history and pageantry of Mardi Gras. I have a brother in New Orleans and on one of our visits we went to Gretna and discovered that the floats are stored there in the "off season." Fun find!

Oh, and the happy dancing! It was fun to see people of all ages catch the spirit and participate. Made me smile!
