Hola!
Bonjour!
Howdy!

Hello Friday and outstanding readers!

Super BLAST of cool today beginning with:

STACY'S WORLD
WOW! GULP + YIKES!
What an adventure week vacation Stacy and her husband had in Arizona.
I love the back stories of the town, Jerome, and the cool shops/galleries she writes about. Specifically, Pura Vida Gallery! Fascinating and Intriguing. Totally on my bucket list!

Super excited to learn what Stacy's next column will be about regarding the most unique and interesting piece she found that WE can re-create. Hello!

Thanks, Stacy!

QUICK QUESTION
Truth or Dare?
That's a tough answer for me - depending on the question, I guess.
But I think I'd roll with Truth because the Dare could be outlandish. Ha!!

SIMPLE FRIEND vs REAL FRIEND
Is straight-up beautiful and TRUTH about friendship.

TACO BURGERS

Hello Daymakers!

Super fun read today beginning with:

LESLIE ELMAN'S POP QUIZ AND FASCINATING FACTS
So intriguing learning from her facts and trivia. More fun than watching an episode of Jeopardy.

QUICK QUESTION
Can I fold a fitted sheet by myself? Not so far. But I still give it a shot every time I pull one out of the dryer. And when it doesn't fold properly (i.e. - I fail) -- I just kinda-sorta fold it or roll it up and place it in the linen closet and call it good. Do any of you have a tried and true method? I'd LOVE to know it!

18 APHORISMS
Are So.Very.Relatable. and a chuckle.

INSTANT KARMA
Love this idea of writing down or mentally assessing my 5's each evening around bedtime. Pretty sure it will encourage me to find the 5s every day.

CREAMY POTATO-GRUYERE GRATIN
Is an absolute blue ribbon winner recipe. Without a doubt my favorite potato gratin recipe EVER. It was Peter's, too. I pretty much only prepare it on special occasions (like holidays or birthdays) which makes it all the more special. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this recipe - it's FAN-TAS-TIC!

Wednesday greetings wondrous readers of Daymaker -

Presenting a fabulous read today full of fun and awe-some!
Beginning with Leslie Elman's Trivia Bits in both Pop Quiz and Fascinating Stuff

Of course, I've heard/read about the Frescoes style painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel - but I couldn't visualize it so I did the Google thing and found *a pic and a little backstory * mind blowing! Unbelievably breathtaking.

And Sailfish can travel at speeds of 68 mph. W-H-A-T ?!!

QUICK QUESTION
Are you double jointed anywhere? My pinky finger on my right hand is double jointed.
I remember that my dad was double jointed on all fingers on both hands. As a kid that was, "WOW COOL" stuff.
Are you, or know someone who is?

THE SCHOLAR'S 4 QUESTION TALE
Is a great read. I've been pondering - and have come up with - a couple "morals to the story" sort of thing. I love tales that make me think beyond the story itself.

FRIED CATFISH WITH JALAPENO TARTAR SAUCE
Is sooooooo good. As I wrote in the recipe, we served it at Hippie Cowboy and customers were wild about it. Our little secret that made it unique was that we used my grandma Miller's recipe for frying trout. It's a must-make recipe if you're a fan of fried catfish.

Hello Hello -

How has your week been?
Weather? Random acts of Daymaking either by you or someone else?

Pics below:

#1
So this giant, I mean giant, tree fell into the yard last September. An arborist friend told me it probably weighed 20 tons. Monster, beautiful tree. We had dubbed it Sleepy Hollow over the years for no specific reason. Just seemed an appropriate name for such a magnificent piece of nature.

My fabulous neighbors Pete and Donna, their daughter, Karen, and Craig, son-in-law, jumped on their fastest white horses (toting chainsaws) and zoomed over here and we all totally cleaned up that fallen tree. As in all day long!

Hello happy people!

Pulse check for your week - how was it? It was good for me. My neighbor brought over smoked meatloaf. Oh, YES! It's absolutely my favorite and they know it. Thank you, Trent and Susan!

Still harvesting a few fresh tomatoes - I know it's going to come to a halt very, very soon so I am relishing every beautiful offering the plant continues to share.

Peach pie happened this week - a friend brought over fresh peaches he ordered outta the Carolinas. Peaches are without a doubt my very, very favorite fruit. The pie lasted about 2 days. Breakfast, lunch and midnight snack attack action! Check out the recipe for this unbelievable peach pie from a recipe card I have dated 1989. Ha

Greetings Wednesday Readers!

I had super busy days on Monday and Tuesday cleaning and purging clothes in closets and drawers, readying them to take to The Salvation Army for their second time around.

Feels good to de-clutter things around the house or property that no longer serve a purpose to me.

Here's today's Reader. Enjoy!

And as always, so grateful you're here. Have a great day.

Hello everyone !

I hope this week was kind and productive for you !

Raise your hand if you're ready for the weekend - ha!

My niece, Jayde, and her husband, Chris, hosted a giant party for my mom's birthday. It was magic. Chris is a master on the Weber. Hello, we're a lucky family !

Chris smoked Tenderloin and lobster tails. That's Curtis and Jared (brother-in-law and nephew) assisting Chris serving the tenderloin as they went around the table. There are no words, other than one ... O*U*T*S*T*A*N*D*I*N*G.

Is this not the coolest display of air plants EVER ?! This is totally going on my "gotta have it - gotta make it" list.
