GREETINGS COOL READERS ON THIS LAST MONDAY OF SEPTEMBER FROM CHERYL CLARSON I think the illustration today is super happy and whimsical - and makes me smile. How was your weekend?  All good around here.  Uneventful.  Often times - that's my favorite report from a weekend. Collected this handful of great reads for today: Loved the brick home painting transformations a lot! Size comparison of sea creatures -- uhhh-uhhh-uhh!  I think they're super cool and I love that they're in the deep blue ocean.  I've had people say to me, "Have ya ever been on a 7 day cruise?"

WEDNESDAY READER | SEPTEMBER 20

HELLO HAPPY READERS AND GREETINGS 2nd TO THE LAST WEDNESDAY IN SEPTEMBER Presenting Wednesday Reader.  It's packed full and a great read. Leslie Elman does it again with the Pop Quiz and Fascinating Facts.  Giving us material to be the most interesting person in the room. I don't think I mentioned this before - but Leslie writes Q & A for Pub quizzes around the world.  How cool is that?  And you get to read her here! Quick Question re: what's our favorite day of the week.  Interesting - I actually believe we all have a favorite day even if we haven't called it out.  Mine is Thursday.  You? Who knew that a Cronut was a thing?  Not me.

5 for FRIDAY | SEPTEMBER

HELLO AMAZING READERS (!) FROM CHERYL CLARSON September 8 has jumped upon us just like that.  Quick and stealth! In a blink of an eye - it'll be late September.  How time can fly so fast. The cool illustration art piece today are flies for trout fishing.  Any of you out there fly fishermen? It's a BIG DEAL in Montana and an art - the whole fly fishing thing AND big bragging rights among the fly fishermen if you tie your own flies. My son Hunter was born in Livingston, Montana, and we lived there for numerous years.  It's the home (or at least was) of the famous Dan Baily fly-fishing store. Great line-up for today's 5 for Friday: QUICK QUESTION What's the oldest thing I own?  Still considering my final answer.  How about you? STEPHANIE'S CHIC ON THE CHEAP column is (as always) super cool.  What a great DIY project with rustic-cabin-vibe results  Well done, Steph and Rick!

WEDNESDAY READER | SEPTEMBER 6

Fun line-up of cool reading in today's Wednesday Reader. As an English major -- I did not know the answer in the Pop Quiz regarding Shakespeare and how he took out the majority of his characters. QUICK QUESTION - What's the weirdest thing I've seen multiple times on the side of the road.  Hands down -- One shoe.  You? I love. love. love. the God Bless Teacher Story. I'll be frank - not all teachers are created equally. My mom was a teacher -- 1st grade -- for years.  My mom was a Bonnie teacher (as in the story).  Hat tip, Mama. I remember - clearly - 4 teachers : Mrs. Simon, Ms. Potter, Mr. Warren and Mrs. Bailey who there is no doubt in my mind made an impact on my young life to who I am today. You? Chicken Parmesan Recipe is sooooooo delish.

HELLO LABOR DAY | FIRST MONDAY IN SEPTEMBER + HAPPY READERS FROM CHERYL CLARSON Check out these delightful nuggets I picked for today. I think the Google Map pic showing the cat might be my favorite in that picture line-up. The giant articulating dogs are just soooo soooo cool.  Wish I could see that in person.  Look at all the "players" it takes to operate those giant dogs. Oh, Blockbuster and mom and pop video stores - how I miss you!  Cute little snails take us on a few little memory lane trips. After this hot summer - I definitely have dry patches that I'm gonna plant some grass seed and now I have the notes on how to do it.  So do you.

5 for FRIDAY | SEPTEMBER 1

September has arrived - hooray! It's still hot during the day - but this morning it was 71*.  I popped open doors and windows for about an hour until temps climbed quickly back in the 90s. Ahhhhh - fresh air!  While it lasted.  More 70s to come - now that it's September! PICTURE LINE UP: #1 Humming bird feeder - I've been watching the little humming birds from my kitchen window.  So.Much.Fun.  They are totally enjoying the red nectar.  And when one finishes - off it goes - and another comes in.  Then, there's the part where they like to chase one another to see who's fastest to get back to the feeder.  Joy! #2 Flowering maple plant - stunning.  At my mom's in her garden room.

WEDNESDAY READER | AUGUST 30

We've had a teeny-tiny reprieve from the triple digits!  Relief.  Crazy to believe that 95* feels like a gift.  But it sure does! Walking my 3 miles - got a little more pep-in-my-step!  ha Presenting Wednesday Reader! Line up - Quick Question - what unnerves me but doesn't seem to bother a mass majority?  My answer to that would be lack of common manners.  Manners = Class.  You? RIDDLE - I didn't guess the riddle answer.  However, now that I know the answer.  No-Brainer.

TOP OF THE MORNING | AUGUST 28

The last weekend in August 2023. I'm not gonna lie - I am not sad about it being the last weekend of August.  Gosh it's been screaming hot here (everywhere, I understand) and I feel like we've been riding a bucking horse straight outta the shoot and hanging on for the buzzer (the buzzer meaning fall is just right over there.  Hang on!). I had a super fun Saturday.  Went to Autonomous Society's one year celebration mark.  Check them out here.
5 For Friday August 25

5 FOR FRIDAY | AUGUST 25

QUICK QUESTION What do you do when you hear something fall in the middle of the night when you're in bed? I do a big gulp, get out of bed - because I just gotta know where that noise came from.  To date - it's usually cat related.  HA STEPHANIE'S CHIC ON THE CHEAP never disappoints with all of her cool fashion ideas!  And egg cartons for storing tiny little necklaces?  Fabulous idea!  I'm on it. #4 PICTURE A book for sale at an outdoor venue.  I had to laugh.  Because - I surely won't laugh at a live dragon should I see one. SWEET AND TART TARRAGON CHICKEN SALAD recipe is delicious.  Different - and I feel pretty confident won't disappoint.  Give it a try.
