Hello Carol!

Quagmire!
I've not heard or read that word in a long while. Thanks for bringing it back to mind! I'm totally gonna to use it in conversation the next time we have some big time rain around here! ha

Catfish cakes will not disappoint, girl!

Love that you, too, loved the story of the Deck of Cards.
It's quite an analogy. One that I've never heard or read.

We thank you for sharing + caring + appreciate your super laid-back spot-on writing skills with your comments.
Totally Daymaker style!

Oh my, what info Stacy came to the table with today. That girl has some play in her as to the middle finger!

Then there's potato smears used to clean windows

And then her comment how creepy that our cellphones are monitoring us and selling our info. I say, "Bad on them!"

Sooooo, I have a tiny bit of encouragement that I have and find no company can monitor my conversation.

What is it? It's a second phone that is NOT connected to the internet. My adult children know the number to this handy dandy flip top phone. The bonus is that the company only charges me $20 a month.

Most of my friends and family have a landline as a back up. That's great. However, I prefer not using the $60 a month AT&T option. I continue using a cell phone that my husband once used for his flip top phone called Affinity. It's not a gotta have luxury phone but one that fits my needs perfectly.

I give it a one finger star salute Stacy! Ha! ha!

My five q's: quagmire, quest, query, quiet, quitclaim

Stacy's World was interesting, fun, informative, delicious - as usual. Always wondered about the middle finger "salute" - now I know its history! And the potato tips - two hacks from one potato! One practical, one yummy. Win-win.

I've been craving crab cakes for a couple of days now but just may have to adjust my tastebuds for the catfish version - it sounds every bit as delicious!

And the Deck of Cards - Wow! Like you, I'm not a fan of board games or card games - most likely because when I was a kid my mom swatted my backside with a checker board after I'd lifted it and scattered the checkers because I was losing - but that story is fascinating and will forever change how I view a "simple" deck of cards.

Thanks DayMaker. Happy weekend!
