Hey, Marty –

Your mom actually had a fox fur clipped around her neck in a pic you have? And you have it “stuffed away” in a box? Break it out! Pretty cool.

Before anyone piles on this with poo-poos — the 40’s or 50’s didn’t frown on fur. Just cool statement pieces.

Now-a-days some may find the idea of fur unacceptable. But, hey, Marty – that cool piece you have in a box somewhere in your attic from a long time ago – gets “grandfathered” in. My opinion.

If you don’t wanna wear it – might wanna tell your granddaughter it’s available for her next party-to-do thing. Let the little fox rock its vintage coolness.

Silence — yep, I’m striving to be that person regarding silence speaks louder than words sort of wisdom.

Stephanie’s column today took me back in the fur era, I think it was the 40’s or 50;s. I have this beautiful photo of my mom and my aunt dressed to the 9’s both wearing fur. Mom’s was a fox fur clipped around her neck. (I actually have it in a box in my attic. My granddaughter asked me a few years back if she could wear it to a party!) Thank you Stephanie for bringing fur forward. Ohhhh the quote, “When does silence convey more than words” took me to a wonderful Quaker quote: “Don’t speak unless you can improve on silence.”
