Hi Marty - Love the video idea! Zinnia package doesn't give the height but it does say 4" to 6" blooms. Perfect size for a little vase. No kidding, Jack and the Beanstalk! Yes, keep us posted. Thanks for reading + commenting + sharing. You're a Daymaker and I appreciate you.

2 things. Your 9 foot chimes are beyond my imagination. I have 4 foot brearhtaking chimes made by “Corinthian Bells “. Ohhhh to hear your 9 foot chimes. Is it possible to video them for us? 2nd question is on the zinnias. How tall does the pkg say they will likely grow? I took your lead and planted some zinnias and they are just now startimg to sprout. It’s very exciting. As for their height - 1 pkg reads 2 feet and the other reads 5 feet. We’ve got Jack and the beanstalk here! Keep us posted as I will you.

In reply to <a href="https://daymakerweeklyreader.com/5-for-friday-may-5/comment-page-1/#comment-140">Carol</a>.

Hi Carol - me same -

Growing up in Montana we didn't eat a lot of ocean food. For obvious reasons.

I remember traveling to my great Aunt Beth's home in San Francisco with my mom.

Aunt Beth was one of the few survivors from the giant plane crash in the Canary Islands - Tenerife aiport disaster way back then.

We were served shrimp and crab. I was about 13.

Not my deal.

I excused myself from the table for a moment with my plate.

My mom told me later - please - do not turn the garbage disposal on, Cher.
Ha! I did not. Not sure what happened to my food plate - but I didn't eat it. Ha!

Thanks so much, Carol!

Memory Lane stuff for sure.

Have a great weekend!

What a lovely finish to the Daymaker week! Great photos and music. And the catfish cakes recipe - sure to be a favorite. The answer to the question: shrimp when I was at a fancy tearoom with a neighbor when I was about 13 and hadn't yet acquired a taste for it. I tried to eat it all but I'm sure the look on my face spoke volumes ;)
