I’m with you regarding snakes. I have a healthy respect for them but have NO desire to have them anywhere near me, even in pictures or as art objects.

As for the snake, NOOoooo thank you. All snakes scare me.

Here’s my recent story:
My friends with 4 sons invited me to their home for a BBQ just two weeks ago to celebrate one of their son’s engagement. Understand I’ve been in their home dozens of times — but never until that night at their table did the fact slip out,
“Oh yes, we’ve had a boa constrictor in our home for years.”

I’m certain Steve did a little kick under the table to his wife’s ankle. I had a dozen questions but I refrained from saying any.
Why?

I was afraid if I got involved in conversation that I would have nightmares. Fortunately the topic changed quickly, the evidence of the kick!
I forced myself to appear unalarmed, but I will admit, I was the first to leave. ha
